BROKEN LOVE First Collection

The collection represents the broken love that exists in each person at different times in life. This makes us vulnerable to falling into toxic relationships. We live in a complex society with impossible expectations of love, which turns us into false appearances of perfect couples, but often hide broken relationships.

The essence of this collection is deep feelings of pain from loss, crossroads, toxic love, decisions, and tragic endings. To represent these colors, I used earthy tones that speak to the earth, which is the essence of our being. This is an oil painting using four basic colors: zinc, ultramarine, cadmium red, and yellow. I’m looking for earthy tones.

I like to use the basic palette with the four primary colors: zinc, ultramarine, cadmium red, and yellow, looking for the earthy tones that are so present in this collection.

This collection is largely figurative. Imagination, memories, and lived experiences are strongly present in these cotton and linen canvases.

Each painting has parts of my life, therefore it has a story told, if you look closely.
